Wine Review Notes

Your review should include the following:
- The vintage (the year the grapes were harvested) of the bottle.
- The winery or vineyard where it was produced.
- The appellation (wine region) specified on the bottle.
- The type of grape (Cabernet, Chardonnay, Merlot ).
For example:
I am reviewing the 1997 Whitehall Lane Cabernet bottled in Napa Valley California.
Describe the wine:
- Describe its smell. (fruity, hints of tobacco, pepper).
- What color is this wine? (deep purple, golden, etc. )
- What does it taste like? (sweet, bitter, etc.).
For example:
This wine is fruity on the nose; it has a soft golden color with a crisp finish .
Make a statement or recommendation:
- This would pair best with grilled red meat.
- I would not recommed this wine.
- I loved this wine!
- Shows potential, let it age another year.
Note: Most wine reviews are short.
You are not writing a short-story.
Our database allows for up to 4096 characters in your notes. But most
wine reviews are under 250 words ( about 1000 characters).
Don't worry about grammar! Wine reviews don't have to follow basic sentence structure and can be fun or serious, you decide....
